Though scheduled to be filmed in New York in November and aired on television sets worldwide in early December, a lot of eyes are already focussed on the 2009 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. Its combination of some of the world's best bodies, lingerie-as-couture designs, and a tempo and accessibility seldom reached at other fashion parades, the Victoria's Secret Fashion show has become a stalwart of the fashion industry calendar.

It sometimes amazes me how Victoria's Secret - one of the most well-known and publicised lingerie brands in the world - can get the hottest models in the world, and stick them in the most uninspiring clothes. In the world. Because if any brand can land gorgeous models-du-jour like Abbey Lee Kershaw and Behati Prinsloo it's only natural to put them in baggy tracksuit pants and cupcake-print knickers. But it's not all bad. And luckily, despite some of the underwear being not their best, the shoot still works in a young, fun kind of way.

You can also expect the brand's sexier numbers to come out for the 2009 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which isn't too far away.
